USD 512 Shawnee Mission School District Mail Ballot Election – January 26, 2021

Shall the following be adopted?

Shall Unified School District No. 512, Johnson County, Kansas (Shawnee Mission), issue general obligation bonds in an amount not to exceed $264,220,000, to purchase and improve sites, to acquire, construct, equip, furnish, repair, remodel and make additions to buildings used for school district purposes, including the addition of new school buildings and other improvements, and all other necessary appurtenances and improvements related thereto, and to pay fees and expenses related thereto; all pursuant to the provisions of K.S.A. 10-101 et seq.; K.S.A. 25-431 et seq.; K.S.A. 25-2018(f); and K.S.A. 72-5457?

Ballot Drop Box Locations & Information

Ballot drop boxes will be open from January 4th - January 26th, closing at 12 noon. Ballots must be received in a drop box by 12 noon on January 26th.

Important Dates

If you have have registered to vote between December 28, 2021 and January 5, 2021 you will not be automatically sent a ballot. Please fill out the application for a replacement ballot.

December 28 - Last day to automatically receive a ballot
January 5 - Last day to register
January 5 - Last day to apply for an advance ballot
January 6 - Mailing of ballots begins
January 22 - Last day to mail replacement ballots (replacements may be requested in person until noon on January 26th)
January 26 - Election Day - ballots due by 12 noon
February 1 - Canvass Opens at 9:00 a.m. - broadcasting also available on our Facebook Page
February 1 - Canvass Reconvenes at 4:00 p.m. - broadcasting also available on our Facebook Page
