Advance Voting by Mail
Voters can who wish to vote by mail can apply to do so. Ballots will begin mailing July 13.
Applications are available online and must be received by Tuesday, July 26. We recommend applying as soon as possible to give yourself enough time to receive and return your ballot.
Ballots can be returned by mail, to any in-person voting location during voting hours, or to any of our eight ballot drop boxes:
- Blue Valley Library
- Central Resource Library
- De Soto Library
- Johnson County Election Office
- Gardner Library
- Johnson County Northeast Offices
- Shawnee Library
- Spring Hill Library

The August election is a countywide election that includes federal, state and local offices. It will also include a constitutional amendment. Every registered voter will have at least one race on their ballot.
