Question No. 1

Shall the following be adopted?

Shall Charter Ordinance No. 26 entitled:

A Charter Ordinance providing for four-year terms of office for members of the governing body; exempting the City from K.S.A. 12-1036b and K.S.A. 12-1036d; amending Charter Ordinance No. 11 by repealing Section 2 thereof and amending Charter Ordinance No. 12 by repealing Sections 2 and 4 thereof take effect?


Question No. 2

Shall the following be adopted?

Shall the City of Shawnee, Kansas be authorized to impose an additional retailers' sales tax of .125% for no longer than 5 years to take effect on January 1, 2001 with approximately one-half of the revenue therefrom pledged for use for acquiring or improving land for park or recreation purposes and approximately one-half for storm drainage improvements, including repayment of bonds issued for those purposes?
