Shall the following be adopted?
Shall Charter Ordinance No. 25 entitled:
A charter ordinance exempting the City of Shawnee, Kansas from the provisions of sub-paragraph (b) (5) of K.S.A. 12-2001 relating to the compensation or consideration to be paid to the city for the granting of franchises and providing substitute and additional provisions that any ordinance granting a franchise for the sale or transportation of gas or electric current to residential customers within the city shall include a provision requiring the franchisee to pay to the city as compensation or consideration for the franchise a sum equal to 5% of the gross receipts derived by the franchisee from the sale or transportation of natural gas or electric current to residential customers located within the city with the revenue derived by the city therefrom to be expended only for neighborhood revitalization take effect?
