Ballot Question - November 1998

Shall the following be adopted?

"Shall the City of Overland Park, Kansas, be authorized to levy a one-eighth of one percent (.125%) City Retailers' Sales Tax, in addition to the one percent (1.0%) currently levied, within the City of Overland Park, Kansas, and to use the revenue from the additional tax to fund an accelerated residential street improvement program and an accelerated thoroughfare street improvement program, with each program to receive as nearly as possible one-half of the additional tax revenue, such additional tax to take effect on April 1, 1999, and to end March 31, 2004?"
