Ballot Questions - November 2002 
Question #1Shall the following be adopted?
“Shall Charter Ordinance No. 60, entitled ‘A Charter Ordinance
exempting the City of Olathe, Kansas from K.S.A. 13-1024a relating to the
borrowing of money and the issuance of bonds for general improvements and
providing substitute and additional provisions on the same subject; further
repealing Charter Ordinances No. 58 and 59;’ take effect pursuant
to Article 12, Section 5 of the Kansas Constitution?”
Question #2
Shall the following be adopted?
“Shall Charter Ordinance No. 61, entitled ‘A Charter Ordinance
amending Section 2.1 of Article II of Charter Ordinance No. 28 by increasing
the term of office for the Mayor and district Councilmembers from two to
four years and providing for the staggering of terms,’ take effect
pursuant to Article 12, Section 5 of the Kansas Constitution?”
Question #3
Shall the following be adopted?
“Shall Charter Ordinance No. 62, entitled ‘A Charter Ordinance
amending sections 2.2, 2.7, 2.8 and 2.9 of Charter Ordinance No. 28 by
correcting and modifying certain archaic words; amending Section 2.6 by
providing substitute and additional procedures to fill Councilmember vacancies;
and amending Sections 2.3 and 3.3 to clarify the appointment of the Municipal
Judge by the City Council; further repealing existing sections and Charter
Ordinance No. 41,’ take effect pursuant to Article 12, Section 5
of the Kansas Constitution?”
