Ballot Question - August 2002 
Shall the following be adopted? Shall the Board of County Commissioners of Johnson County, Kansas, impose an additional one-fourth (1/4) of one cent countywide retailers' sales tax in Johnson County, Kansas, to end on December 31, 2005, with revenue from such additional countywide retailers' sales tax to be distributed as required by law, sixty-four percent (64%) to the county and thirty-six percent (36%) to the cities of Johnson County, and the county share to be used to fund and award economic development and public benefit grants to public school districts located within Johnson County, Kansas, to be used to maintain educational opportunities, for technology, for special education needs, and for other purposes authorized by state law?
