&lt;p&gt;Tuesday, August 3rd, is the countywide primary election in Johnson County.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Voters will cast ballots for Democratic, Republican and non-partisan national, state, county, township and precinct committee men and women offices.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The polls will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.&lt;/p&gt;

   <title>Who Votes in the August Primary</title>

&lt;p&gt;Technically, all Johnson County voters may vote in the August 3rd primary election. &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The Democratic August Primary Election is open to unaffiliated voters and voters registered as Democrats.  Unaffiliated voters may affiliate or may vote in the primary without changing their affiliation to be Democratic if they prefer.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The Republican August Primary Election is open only to those registered as Republicans and unaffiliated voters who wish to affiliate as Republicans by filling out a new declaration card on election day. &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Libertarian, Reform, and Unaffiliated voters are eligible to vote on non-partisan races. All relevant non-partisan races also appear on the Democratic and Republican ballots.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Primary voting rules are established by the parties and state law, and are not established by the election office.  Voters may cast only one ballot in any election.&lt;/p&gt;

   <title>Voter Registration Closes July 19</title>

&lt;p&gt;Completed applications should be signed and mailed, faxed or emailed to the Election Office at 2101 E. &lt;p&gt;Applications must be postmarked on or before July 19th in order to be eligible to vote. &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;To register, you must be a United States citizen, a resident of the State of Kansas, and be 18 years old on or before the next election day.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;You must include your Kansas driver's license number or the last four digits of your Social Security number on the application. &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;If you change your name or address, or wish to change your party affiliation, you must update your voter registration by completing a new voter registration application. &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;You may also register in person at any city hall, or pick up an application at the library or the Election Office. &lt;/p&gt;

   <title>Advance Voting by Mail Begins July 14</title>

&lt;p&gt;Advance voting by mail begins on July 14th for the countywide August 3rd primary election in Johnson County.  Applications are being accepted now.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;To vote by mail, voters may complete an Application for an Advance Voting Ballot by Mail then fax or mail it to the Johnson County Election Office.  The address and fax numbers are on the form. &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Applications also are available at city halls, public libraries and at &lt;a href=&quot;http://www.jocoelection.org&quot;&gt;www.jocoelection.org&lt;/a&gt;.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Completed applications must be received at the Election Office before 5:00 p.m. on July 30th.  Your ballot must be returned to the election office by 7 p.m. on August 3rd to be counted. &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;If you applied for an advance ballot by mail and did not receive it, please call the election office at 913-782-3441.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Any registered voter may vote at any one of four locations beginning July 20.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Advance voting locations are:&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&amp;bull;	Metcalf South Shopping Center, Northwest Mall entrance at 9531 Metcalf in Overland Park&lt;br /&gt;
  &amp;bull;	Johnson County Northeast Offices at 6000 Lamar in Mission &lt;br /&gt;
  &amp;bull;	Ten Quivira Plaza at 12156 Shawnee Mission Parkway, located one block west of Quivira  Road on Charles Street in Shawnee&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&amp;bull;	These 3 sites are open weekdays from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Advance voting at these sites ends on Saturday, July 31st.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&amp;bull;	Advance voting hours at the Election Office are weekdays from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Advance voting at the Election Office ends on Monday, August 2nd at 12:00 noon.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&amp;bull;	The Election Office is located at 2101 E Kansas City Road in Olathe near the Bass Pro Shop.&lt;/p&gt;
