Township Officials
Seven townships exist in Johnson County: Aubry Township, Gardner Township, Lexington Township, McCamish Township, Olathe Township, Oxford Township, and Spring Hill Township.
Each township is served by a Trustee, a Treasurer and a Clerk. Elections are held in even numbered years. All township officials are elected to 4 year terms.
- All township clerks will be elected in 2014.
- All township trustees and treasurers will be elected in 2016.
- Terms of office begin on the second Monday in January after the election.
- Township officials serve until their successors are elected, or appointed, and qualified.
- All vacancies in the offices of trustee, clerk or treasurer of any township shall be filled by appointment by the Board of County Commissioners.
