Leawood

Leawood, a city of the First Class, has four wards. An election is held in even numbered years. Leawood is served by a Mayor and eight Council Members, two from each ward. All are elected to four year terms. Four Council Members will be elected in 2012. The Mayor and four Council Members will be elected in 2014.

Mission

Prairie Village, a city of the First Class, has six wards. An election is held in most odd and even numbered years. Prairie Village is served by a Mayor and twelve Council Members, two from each ward. All are elected to four year terms. Six Council Members will be elected in 2012. Six Council Members will be elected in 2014. The Mayor will be elected in 2015.

Shawnee

Shawnee, a city of the First Class, has four wards. Elections have been held in even numbered, but will be held in odd years beginning in 2013. Shawnee is served by a Mayor and eight Council Members, two from each ward. All are elected to four year terms. During the transition to the odd year election cycle terms have been shortened to 3 years so expiration of the term ends on an odd year. The Mayor and four Council Members will be elected in 2012. Four Council Members will be elected in 2013.

Westwood

The Mayor and two Council Members At-Large will be elected in 2012. Three Council Members At-Large will be elected in 2014.
